On May 30, 2025, an officer with the Westlake Police Department was conducting a routine online investigation when he found two ads posted just hours apart. Different names. Different photos. Same hotel. Both offering the same services. The officer posed as a client and began texting the numbers listed on the ads. One of the first responses he received raised immediate suspicion — he was asked if he was law enforcement before any prices were discussed.
