* (Disclaimer: The content in this video is intended for educational and informational purposes only) Los Angeles, California — On September 14, 2025, at approximately 10:46 p.m., Hollenbeck Area Gang Enforcement Detail uniformed officers were driving in the 2400 block of Boulder Street when they encountered the suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Francisco Garcia, in possession of an open container of alcohol. As the officers attempted to contact Garcia, he fled, and a short foot pursuit ensued. Garcia ultimately fell while running between residences and produced a handgun from his waistband area, which resulted in an Officer-Involved Shooting. Garcia was struck by gunfire and was taken into custody without further incident. The officers rendered aid until the arrival of Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. Garcia was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. A loaded 9mm Taurus pistol, with a seated high-capacity magazine, was recovered at the scene and booked as evidence.
